Trial set for September 13, 2006
Festival of Hope Planned September 12, 2006

The Justice and Peace Community in Bismarck, N.D. is preparing for a Festival of Hope the evening of September 12, 2006 in support of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Here! Plowshares. The festival will likely begin in the evening, exact time still to be determined. We'll have a pot luck meal, speakers, music, information sharing and community building.

Michele Naar-Obed writes: Hospitality: : We have lots of floor space at the Unitarian Church in Bismark for the entire week. Bonnie Urfer, Barb Katt and I plan to come in on Monday Sept. 11. We expect to get in late in the evening. We will be available all day Tues to help with set up and pick people up from the airport, bus, train if necessary. There are cooking facilities at the church and we will be able to have breakfast and suppers available during the week.

We also have space available at St. Mary's Catholic Church located about 8 blocks from the courthouse. There are 3 rooms in the Rectory and I just learned that a St. Mary's parishoner has offered 5 rooms with beds at his house.

Bonnie, Barb and I will also reserve a few rooms in a local motel and there are likely other beds could be made available if necessary.

We have begun to hear from folks who are planning to come and we are now putting together a list of those that need rooms with beds and those that are okay with floor space.

If you are planning to come to the festival and/or trial, please email or call me within these next days and let me know what kind of accomodations you need . If you can't come to either event but would like to contribute funds towards food and lodging, you could send a check to: Nukewatch, POBox 649, Luck WI 54853. Make a note that the check is for the WMDHere Plowshares.
