On October 12, 2007, Eda Uca, Mike Dorn, Bill Streit, Eve Tetaz, Start Loving, and Sr. Margaret McKenna were in front of magistrate judge Barry R. Poretz in the US District Court in Alexandria, Virgina. Mike and Start had their cases dismissed, Eda and Sr. Margaret pled no contest, and were given a fine, and Eve and Bill pled not guilty and were, after a short trial, found guilty and fined.

Today there is perhaps no issue more critical than the threat of ecocide by climate change. The U.S. military industrial complex is greatly to blame for this impending disaster. One does not need to be under the bombs to die at the hands of the department of defense. Eve Tetaz watches as Eda Uca is cuffed and arrested. The tomato plants are in the ground.

The department of defense, which is the world's largest landowner, is officially ranked as the biggest purchaser of oil in the world , the largest consumer of oil in the U.S. and the world's 31 st largest oil consumer.
